Eagles drop one at home to UT Arlington

STATESBORO, Ga - The Georgia Southern Women's Tennis team faced off against UT Arlington on Saturday at home in Wallis Tennis Center. The Eagles dropped the match to the Mavericks, 4-2.

The Eagles fell to the Mavericks after winning the doubles point early in the match. The Blue and White tried to make a come back over UT Arlington but were unable to keep the same momentum. Women's Tennis did gain a singles point at No. 6 with Freshman Luisa Hrda earning her ninth straight win. Hrda took down Carla Vives, 6-1, 6-1 in straight sets. The freshman moved to 13-2 on the 2019 season. The Eagles are back in action on Sunday against Texas State at home for their breast cancer awareness match.
