Georgia Southern Hosts The GATA Track Classic Friday & Saturday

Eagles' first outdoor meet of the season will take place at Erk Park
STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern track and field team will host its first home meet since 2013 when it welcomes in 12 other schools to Statesboro to compete in the GATA Classic at Erk Park on Friday and Saturday.
Men's and women's events begin at 2 p.m. on Friday and continue all day Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. In all, there will be 36 events competed throughout the two-day event.
In addition to the Eagles' women's team competing, women's teams from the following schools will also be here this weekend: Clark Atlanta, Reinhardt, USC Beaufort, Paine, Emmanuel (Ga.), Kentucky State, Brewton-Parker, Shorter, Columbia (S.C.) and Life. On the men's side, schools competing will be: Columbus State, Emmanuel (Ga.), Kentucky State, Paine, Brewton-Parker, Shorter, Talladega College and Reinhardt.
