The Eagles continue the spring season at the Kiawah Island Classic Feb. 24-26. GS has played in the tournament in all four seasons of the program's existence, and the Eagles' tie for ninth last season was their best finish.
Tabbed as the largest collegiate golf tournament in the country, the 2019 edition of the Kiawah Island Spring Classic has expanded from 43 teams to 48 in this year's field and will be played for the fifth time in its history at Osprey Point at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island, S.C. Two courses are used for the three-day, 54-hole tournament - Osprey Point and Oak Point. After 36 holes of play, the Top 24 teams will play for the championship at Osprey Point during the final round, while teams 25-48 will play for a flight championship at Oak Point.
GS is coming off a 12th-place finish at the Amelia Island Collegiate last week, and Ansley Bowman led the Eagles by tying for 19th.
Ella Ofstedahl has placed in the top-10 in five of her last eight events, and Bowman has finished in the top-5 in three of her last four tournaments.
Bowman makes her 34th start for the Eagles, and Ofstedahl makes her 21st. Julianna Collett is in the lineup for the 13th time, and Natalie Petersen makes her 16th start. Noonan is in the lineup for the fourth time this season and makes her 15th career start.
Next up for the Eagles is the UNF Collegiate March 4-5.
