
Brejo Collects Top 10 Finish, Eagles Complete Sun Belt Championship Wednesday

POINT CLEAR, Ala. – Georgia Southern women's golf completed the final round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship on Wednesday afternoon finishing 11th overall in the team portion of the event.
Freshman Margaux Brejo (72-69-75=216) collected her second top 10 finish of the season, finishing tied for seventh in the individual portion. Brejo collected an even par round on Monday, before rolling in four birdies in round two to shoot 69. For the week, the Fontainebleau, France, native collected a season-high 12 total birdies, highlighted by six in her opening round. Brejo joined seven additional competitors as the only players to shoot even or under par for the week at the Lakewood Golf Club.
Junior Haven Ward (77-68-76=221) posted her third top 15 finish, rebounding in round two for the Eagles by shooting a four-under round of 68. Ward made five birdies and an Eagle on the par-5 fifth hole. The Eagle was the first of the season for the Eagles and kickstarted a strong final four holes for the Atlanta, Georgia, native in the second round.
