Eagles move up two places from last year's finish

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – Georgia Southern Track and Field placed 10th at the 2019 Sun Belt Indoor Championships, besting their 2018 finish by two places. The Eagles got a pair of sixth place finishes from Alexis Gant to lead the way in the Weight Throw and Shot Put.

"I'm really proud of the way the team competed over the last two days. We had a very competitive conference meet with a lot of great athletes. We reached several PRs in this meet and had people that came really close to scoring opportunities, finishing just outside the top eight. It was great that they go to see where they stack up within the conference. Now we will get ready for outdoor championships and prepare for that experience."
