TROY, AL –The Georgia Southern women's soccer team lost 4-1 to Troy on Sunday.
Frida Brattum had the Eagles' only goal of the match in the 17th minute of the game after
Brogan Boudreaux crossed the ball into the box.
Troy had the first and the final three goals of the game. Maddie Brune scored her first and second goals of the season with the first coming in the 21st minute and the second with eight minutes remaining in the game. Kiersten Edlund scored the first goal for the Trojans and Nathali Dasilva scored the third.
Georgia Southern took eight shots during the game with Boudreaux taking the most at three. Brattum took two shots and
Maddie Klintworth, Kristen Spering and
Vivian Streets took one each.
Lauren Karinshak was in goal for the Eagles for the entire game coming away with five saves.

"Another tough conference away game, against a strong Troy side. We had some good looks on goal and hit the woodwork twice but to concede from 3 set pieces in any game isn't good enough and we must correct that in the build up to remaining SunBelt games. We look forward to getting back to winning ways in front of Eagle Nation this weekend."
LOOKING AHEAD
The Georgia Southern Eagles return home this weekend for two games. Friday night Georgia Southern will take on South Alabama at 7 p.m. The Eagles will play again on Sunday playing i state rival Georgia State at 1 p.m. Both games will be on ESPN+.
