• Georgia Southern plays host to ULM and Louisiana in Hanner Fieldhouse this Thursday and Friday. First serve for both matches is set for 6:30 p.m.

• The Eagles are coming off an 0-2 weekend in the Lone Star State, and in its first six matches, the Eagles have now played the top two preseason favorites in each division on the road (UTA, Texas State, Coastal Carolina, App), according to the Sun Belt Preseason Poll.

• Madison Brown ranks sixth in the Sun Belt in assists (9.07 per set), and Landon Jones ranks sixth in digs (4.31 per set).

• ULM enters the weekend 0-6 in Sun Belt play and coming off losses at Troy (3-1) and South Alabama (3-0) last weekend. The Eagles lead the all-time series against the Warhawks 4-3, but ULM won last season's meeting 3-1 in Monroe.

• Louisiana has lost its last four matches since topping UTA 3-1 on the road for its lone Sun Belt win Sept. 28. The Ragin' Cajuns lead the all-time series over GS 4-3 and have won the last two, including a 3-0 victory in Lafayette in last season's meeting.

• Following this week's contests, the Eagles open a four-match road trip at South Alabama Friday. GS takes on Troy, South Alabama, Arkansas State and Little Rock before returning home to host Appalachian State (Nov. 8) and Coastal Carolina (Nov. 9).
