SCORECARD

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Rosemary Kramer won her third individual title of the season and the Eagles bested three other squads in air rifle as Georgia Southern won two of three matches Saturday at Wofford in Southern Conference action. The Eagles bested the host Terriers and The Citadel Women, but fell to The Citadel for the first time this season.

Kramer, a senior from Culloden, Georgia, placed first in air rifle with a 589 and second in smallbore with a 569 to post a match-high 1,156. That total was eight points clear of second place. Senior Courtney Weekley finished second in air rifle (583) and sixth in smallbore (557) for a 1,140 and fifth-place finish.

As a team, the Eagles posted a 2,303 in air rifle, just besting The Citadel's 2,299. The total was the lowest for the Eagles this year, but it was still enough to best the Bulldogs in air rifle, but the 4,486 was well off The Citadel's 4,542 team mark. GS downed Wofford by 25 points and The Citadel Women by over 600 points.

"Today was not our day. It's still early in the semester and we have identified the areas we need to improve and it's smallbore. It's a work in progress with the heavy lifting of the season still in front of us.  Air rifle continues to be our strongest skill set, and once we pull up our smallbore scores, we'll be quite fierce. We will get there."
