PREVIEW: Southern Heads to the Rocky Mountains For Pair of Matches

Eagles to take on Alaska, TCU and Air Force in Colorado

STATESBORO - The second-ranked Georgia Southern rifle squad returns to action this weekend, traveling to the mountains of Colorado for a pair of matches hosted by the US Air Force Academy.

On Saturday, the Eagles will shoot at the Falcon Rifle Range on the USAFA post with #3 Alaska Fairbanks, #7 TCU and #15 Air Force starting at 10 a.m. Eastern time.

On Sunday, the same four teams will compete at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

Georgia Southern is 8-0 after downing Wofford in SoCon action. The Eagles moved up to second in the country thanks to their 4,744 they shot in the second weekend against TCU. It's the second time in as many years they've been ranked this high.

Live targets for the match can be viewed via MegaLink. A link is on the Rifle Schedule Page. Choose the Air Force range on Saturday and the OTC on Saturday, and then the lanes you'd like to watch (if not all of them).

Up Next: The Eagles will wrap up their fall slate on Nov. 8, taking on North Georgia and GMC on Nov. 8 in Dahlonega.
