JONESBORO, ARK.
- Georgia Southern Baseball wrapped the weekend series with a 4-1 win over Arkansas State on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles trailed 1-0 early, but scored four in the sixth to blow the game open and take the come-from-behind win. The Eagles are back home this weekend against Charleston Southern and Georgia State to put a bow on the 2018 regular season.

SCORING PLAYS
Bottom 3rd
- A leadoff error in the third opened the door for the Red Wolves to get a run in the third inning. Back-to-back ASU singles drove in the run as the home side took an early 1-0 lead.
Top 6th - Walks to Nolan Tressler and Mitchell Golden sandwiched a Jason Swan double to load the bases and chase the Arkansas State pitcher from the game. Austin Thompson drove in two runs with his double down the third base line. Tyler Martin plated a run with a sacrifice fly, while the inning's third double, off the bat of Christian Avant, made the lead 4-1.

NOTES
- The Eagles have won 11 of their last 15 games to improve to 27-23 overall and 16-10 in league play.
- Cole Whitney came back on short rest to get the start and work the game's first three innings on the mound. He allowed four hits and an unearned run while striking out two. Whitney threw two and a third innings of relief on Friday night as the Eagles dropped the opener in extra innings.
- David Johnson came on and worked six innings, allowing just two hits to improve to 3-2 on the year. He struck out four and walked one in the relief outing.
- Nolan Tressler capped his weekend with a 1-for-1 day with three walks and a run scored.
