MIDWEEK PREVIEW - Eagles Close Season Series with College of Charleston on Tuesday Afternoon

Eagles have split the season series with the Cougars entering Tuesday's game

STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Baseball travels to the Holy City on Tuesday afternoon for a midweek game against the College of Charleston. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. in the Businessman Special as the Eagles and Cougars close their season series. The Eagles fell to the Cougars in February, but took a win a week ago to set up the rubber match at the Patriots Point Complex.

- Georgia Southern closes out a run of three games against the College of Charleston on Tuesday with a return trip to Mount Pleasant. The Eagles dropped a 3-0 decision on February 28, but took a 6-4 victory last Tuesday to even the season series.
- Georgia Southern scored three in the seventh inning to push past UT Arlington, 4-1 on Sunday in the series finale against the Mavs. Austin Thompson went 3-for-4 while Mason McWhorter drove in two runs.

- Six has been the magic number over the last five years for Georgia Southern Baseball with a 111-16 record when scoring six or more runs. The Eagles were 30-6 last year with six or more.

COMING UP NEXT
Georgia Southern will travel to the Texas Hill Country this weekend for a three game series against Texas State. The Eagles make their first trip to San Marcos since the 2016 Sun Belt Baseball Tournament and face the Bobcats on the road for the first time since 2015.
