QUICK HITS
- Georgia Southern will look to get back on track on Tuesday night as College of Charleston comes to town for the second of three meetings this season. The game opens a four-game home stand that continues this weekend against UT Arlington.
- Georgia Southern came out on the short-end of an 11-3 result on Sunday afternoon in Mobile, giving up a season-high 19 hits in the contest.
- The Eagles lead the all-time series with College of Charleston 37-28, but dropped the most recent game between the clubs  back in February, 3-0 at the Patriot's Point Complex. The same teams will play again in a week's time as the Eagles make their second trip to the Holy City this year for a Businessman Special on April 24.
- Austin Thompson's first collegiate trip to the Yellowhammer State was a memorable one with the freshman logging hits in all three games including his first collegiate home run. He was 5-for-13 at the plate with four RBIs. All this came just days after returning to the lineup from injury that saw him miss 26 games.
- Through the season's first 35 games, Georgia Southern batters have been hit by 56 pitches to lead the Sun Belt and rank 22nd in the nation. Steven Curry has been hit 15 times to rank fourth in the nation and tops in the Sun Belt while Christian Avant has worn 12 pitches to rank third in the league and 33rd in Division I.
- Jason Swan did his impression of the Frozone, looking out for the greater good, by driving a career-high five runs in the 12-7 win over The Citadel including the go-ahead run.
- Six has been the magic number over the last five years for Georgia Southern Baseball with a 109-16 record when scoring six or more runs. The Eagles were 30-6 last year with six or more.
