STATESBORO, Ga. – Day one of the Sun Belt Indoor Championships conclude this evening with 10 women's events being held. Many of the events went through prelims and set the stage for the final day of competition tomorrow beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The Eagles had many top-15 performances this afternoon and are on the edge of breaking through to scoring big points in the Indoor events. The Distance Medley team picked up the first points of the day, in the final event of day one.
Sholonda Snell,
Breanna Thornton,
Bailey Willett, and
Ellunde Montgomery posted a time of 12:06.65 to finish third place and give the Eagles six points.

The Blue and White will begin the day at around noon, as
Ellunde Montgomery and
Sholonda Snell will compete in the second finals heat in the Women's Mile. In the Women's 5000 meters Kaitlin Rocker will start in the number five position looking to get the Eagles on the board around 3:15 p.m.

The highly successful and talented 4 x 400 team will take to the track in the final event of Tuesday afternoon. The team consisting of
Breanna Thornton,
Kamare' Ways,
Bailey Willett, and
Desiree Blunt will begin their race at 4:00 p.m. Three Eagles will be in contention for the Women's Shot Put event tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.
Osjalee Glenn,
Alexis Gant, and
Jamelia Owens, will all compete across two finals heats to help give the Eagles a push tomorrow in the final day of competition.
