MILLEDGEVILLE, GA. – Georgia Southern women's cross country put together another strong outing Friday evening at the GCSU Bobcat Invite, securing a second-place team finish in a competitive field.
Augusta claimed the team title, bolstered by its three top-six finishes, while GS claimed runner-up powered by six of its runners claiming a top-20 spot.
The Eagles packed their top five runners tightly together, led by veteran
Tristen Crosby, who clocked a 20:05.18 to place seventh overall.
Behind Crosby,
Hannah Douglas crossed the line in 10th, just four seconds off her teammate. Freshmen
Meg Anderson and
Katie Casto kept the Eagles in a strong scoring position, while
Julia Wilson rounded out the top five with a 19th-place finish in 20:32.72.
Gabi Westfall's 20
th position and
Rylan Holmquist's 29
th position provided depth, while
Rebecca Stratton's 21:29.45 and
Millie Lovett's 23:23.91 closed out the lineup, placing 36
th and 70
th.
