STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern sophomore Katie Knight has been named the CCSA Female Diver of the Week for the second time this season, announced today by league officials. 

Knight had a strong meet at the Liberty Invitational over the weekend, including delivering a record-setting performance in the Platform Diving event. Her 172.58 score was good for fourth in the event, but set a new Georgia Southern school record, eclipsing her own previous mark of 169.05, set last year. She also finished fifth in the 1 Meter event with a score of 258.75, and finished sixth in the 3 Meter event with a score of 241.15.

This is her second honor of the year, as she was also the league's Diver of the Week on October 24th. It is also the third award of her career as she earned the award on October 25th of her freshman year.

The Eagles have concluded their competition for 2018 but will return to action on January 12th, hosting North Florida in a Noon dual meet at the RAC.
