Eagles Drop Final Sun Belt Matches, Return Home for Senior Day

Women's Tennis returns home to face College of Charleston on Senior Day
STATESBORO, Ga. – To cap off conference play the Women's Tennis team took to the courts in Mobile, Alabama to face off against Troy and Appalachian State. The Eagles were swept on the weekend falling to Troy 4-1 and App State 4-3. The Blue and White will now return home for their final match before the Sun Belt tournament. The Eagles will face off against College of Charleston Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.
TROY – On Saturday afternoon, the Eagles faced off against the Troy Trojans in Mobile. The Trojans would defeat the Eagles 4-1, after the Eagles collected the doubles point. Doubles teams of Giulia Riepe/Arianne de Winter and Emilia Bujan/Ella Monsey won the point. The Eagles fell to 0-4 in the conference and 10-9 overall.

APPALACHIAN STATE – Sunday morning the Blue and White would square off against the Mountaineers of Appalachian State. The Eagles would drop a heartbreaker falling 4-3 to the Mountaineers. Emilia Bujan, Ella Monsey, and Mariana Ranzahuer would defeat their opponents and give the Eagles their three points. The Eagles will now return home for senior day and look to bounce back before heading to New Orleans for the Sun Belt Tournament.
