QUOTABLES
Head Coach Rodney Hennon
"Right now for our pitching staff there is very little room for error because we're not getting a lot of production from the offensive side of the ball. We've got some guys who have to play through this. We've got some guys that have shown that they have the ability to play well at this level against the arms that we're seeing, but right now we've got some guys that are fighting themselves. We've just got to fight through this."
SCORING SUMMARY
Top 1st - GS 0 - UGA 2 - Georgia posted an early 2-0 lead thanks to Michael Curry's two RBI double. He plated Will Campbell and Keegan McGovern who reached on a walk and a hit by pitch.
Top 3rd - GS 0 - UGA 3 - Campbell hit his second home run of the series to dead centerfield. The blast was aided by the 15 mph wind blowing out to center.
Top 7th - GS 0 - UGA 4 - After relief pitcher Zach Cowart got two quick outs, a two-out walk came back to haunt the sophomore when Talley came around to score on Maxwell's single to center.
Top 8th - GS 0 - UGA 7 - A leadoff triple opened the door for a three run eighth inning for the Bulldogs. Schunk tripled past a diving Jordan Wren in right to get things started. A two out fielded error brought two more unearned tallies home as the visitors posted the big lead.
