STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern rifle posted some of its best scores of the season on Saturday, but dropped a narrow defeat to the No. 20 ranked team from North Georgia.
Courtney Weekley led the way for the Eagles with a 552 on small bore and a 578 on the air rifle in the team's final tune-up for the NCAA Qualifier next weekend.

Tori Lewis and
Kathryn Youngblood were honored for their four years of service to Georgia Southern. Both were members of the inaugural Georgia Southern Rifle Team in 2013-14.

With the 2016-17 season at the sharp end, Georgia Southern travels to Charleston for the NCAA Qualifying meet next weekend, hosted by The Citadel. The Southern Conference Championships are set for March 4th in Charleston.
