Georgia Southern completes its five-match road swing with a non-conference contest at Savannah State. It's one of two rescheduled contests against the Tigers as the original meetings, part of the GATA Challenge in Hanner Fieldhouse, were postponed because of Hurricane Irma. Savannah State will visit Georgia Southern Nov. 6.

Georgia Southern leads the all-time series 19-0, and this is the second straight match in the series at Savannah State.

The Eagles are coming off two Sun Belt losses last weekend as they fell to Coastal Carolina Friday and Appalachian State Sunday by identical 3-1 scores. Savannah State fell 3-0 at North Carolina A&T Friday and 3-1 North Carolina Central Sunday.

Senior Cathrine Murray has 894 kills and is 82 away from cracking the top-10 on the school's career chart. She also has 705 digs and 102 blocks.

Classmate Anna Wenger has 664 career kills, and Megan Chevalier has 706.

Georgia Southern had four matches canceled or postponed because of Hurricane Irma. In addition to the contests against Savannah State, GS also rescheduled a match at North Florida for Oct. 16 at 6 p.m.

The Eagles return home to face Sun Belt opponents Troy (Oct. 12) and South Alabama (Oct. 13) in Hanner Fieldhouse. Both matches are set for 6:30 p.m. starts.
