STATESBORO, Ga. — Georgia Southern swept North Florida 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-22) on Sunday. Head coach Chad Willis secured his 117th victory at the head of the program, marking the most wins by a head coach in program history. The Eagles totaled 51 kills and hit .328, reaching 17 kills in each set while North Florida finished with 39 kills and a .217 hitting percentage. Four Eagles earned spots on the Eagle Invitational All-Tournament team as Alex Myers (MVP), Lexi Duffy, Beka Pfefferkorn, and Reagan Barth, were honored.

Reagan Barth led the Eagles with 16 points and 14 kills, adding eight digs and two service aces. Pfefferkorn finished with 13 kills, hit .458 and contributed four block assists for 15 points. Alex Myers posted 10 kills while hitting .529 and added a solo block. Kayla Knowles recorded a team-high five total blocks, including one solo block and four block assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- After an 8-8 tie, North Florida moved ahead 14-10 behind a run of kills from Kaili Doctor, Dakota Spurrier and Leah McDonald.
- The Eagles answered to take a 16-15 lead, getting kills from Reagan Barth and Beka Pfefferkorn and blocks involving Pfefferkorn and Kayla Knowles during the stretch.
- North Florida went back in front 19-17, but the Eagles won five of the next six points to move ahead 22-20, with Alex Myers contributing three kills in that span.
- North Florida tied it at 22-22 before Barth delivered consecutive kills and Pfefferkorn closed the set for the Eagles, 25-22.

Second Set
- The Eagles built a 14-10 edge with kills from Sam Bowron, Pfefferkorn and Alex Myers during the opening stretch.
- North Florida answered with four straight points, including a Kaili Doctor ace, to tie the set at 14-14.
- Reagan Barth put the Eagles back in front with a kill, and Mayte Camacho followed with six straight service points, including consecutive aces, to push the lead to 21-14.
- After North Florida stopped the run, Barth had three kills in the Eagles' final four points as they closed the set 25-16.

Third Set
- After North Florida scored the first point, Pfefferkorn tied it and Reagan Barth followed with consecutive aces to put the Eagles ahead 3-1.
- From a 12-10 lead, the Eagles won four straight points with a block from Pfefferkorn and Kayla Knowles, a Pfefferkorn kill and two Sam Bowron kills to extend the margin to 16-10.
- North Florida closed to 21-20 late, but the Eagles held the lead; Pfefferkorn's kill made it 23-21, a North Florida service error brought set point at 24-22 and Bowron closed the set 25-22 off a Lexi Duffy assist.

"Great effort today by our team. Really proud of the way we stayed dialed in the game plan. We knew North Florida was going to come out and get after it offensively, you know, around 3 pens and first set, I think after we settled in, we did a much better job from the service line, putting pressure on them, disrupting their flow offensively, really physical at the net, getting a lot of good tags. I thought the quality of our transition. Just efficiency wise from attacking was really good. Setters did a good job distributing and helped get in the middle going early, and that opened some things up in the pen. But yeah, really happy for the non-com. The people make the place and you know I stand on the shoulders of some giants and people that have come before me, people like JB Clayborne, getting the program going and Carrie Masterman Smith, Messersmith and Chad Callahan and Dustin Wood, who all won championships and had great teams here, and just the legacy of players that came through this program and what this place means to them and Eagle Nation to have to do it at home in front of this community and this crowd and a group that has really wrapped its arms around us as a family since we got here in 2019.
