STATESBORO, Ga. – To open the season the Georgia Southern Men's Tennis team will travel to Clemson, South Carolina to face off against Clemson University and The Citadel. This will be the first doubleheader of the season with the matches against Clemson starting at 9:00AM and The Citadel at 1:00PM. The Eagles will be on the road for the first five matches of the season, facing off against Clemson, The Citadel, Preseason No. 11 Florida, Florida State, and Florida A&M.

The Eagles finished the fall strong with five guys winning their flights in Charleston.
Eddie Landin,
Diego Finkelstein,
Adam Brown, and
Murphy McCullough were all crowned Co-Champions on the weekend, while
Santiago Suarez was named champion of his Flight. The Eagles will welcome a new member this spring with the addition of
Stefano Di Aloy. Stefano enters his first season with the Eagles after a very successful junior career in Argentina, achieving National Junior Ranking of 3
rd and a National Rank of 40
th.

"The team has practiced hard the last 8 days and they have prepared themselves as well as they can." Said head coach
Sander Koning. "I have been pleased with the work and now it is time for us to see where we are. Both Clemson and Citadel are well coached and we will have to be ready for them to come after us. The team should see this as the first step of many to get to our goal. Don't make the moment too big and do what we have been practicing."

For their final tournament of the fall the Eagles competed in the College of Charleston Tournament. The event was shortened to two days due to rain in the area. Five Eagles were crowned champions of their flight and three out of the four doubles team advanced to the finals of their draws.
