STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Baseball embarks on its busiest week of the year thus far on Tuesday with a trip to the College of Charleston. The Eagles will also host Savannah State on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. Danny Reed and Kris Draper will be on hand to call the action for both games on the Georgia Southern Sports Network from Learfield Sports.

• Georgia Southern's busiest week of the season starts on Tuesday with a trip to College of Charleston. The Eagles will host Savannah State on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. before opening a three-game set against UL Lafayette on Friday night.
• Georgia Southern was swept for the first time in 2016 this weekend, dropping all three games to Texas State as the Bobcats confirmed second place in the league standings and broke the tie between the Eagles and Bobcats entering the weekend.
• Georgia Southern's four-game losing streak is the team's longest skid of the year. Last season the Eagles dropped five-straight to open May, dropping all three to South Alabama and two of three to Clemson.
• Georgia Southern defeated College of Charleston earlier this season, taking a 10-6 win over the Cougars with the bats waking up for 14 hits. The Eagles trail in the all-time series 31-29 against their former SoCon foe.
• Wednesday's game against Savannah State is just the second game between the programs on the diamond and the first since 2004. The Eagles defeated the Tigers 10-5 at J.I. Clements Stadium. Georgia Southern's starting pitcher, Lawson Humphries was just eight years old when that game took place.
• For Georgia Southern, the magic number is six. The Eagles are 10-0 this season when scoring six or more runs. Over the past five season the Eagles are a combined 102-17 including 31 wins in 2014.
EAGLES PARTNER WITH VS. CANCER FOUNDATION
• Georgia Southern hosted its second Vs. Cancer Day on April 3rd, raising funds and awareness for the Vs. Cancer Foundation to help combat children's cancer.
• The Eagles surpassed their goal of raising $8,000 for the foundation by gathering more than $11,000.

IN THE CLASSROOM
• The Georgia Southern baseball team posted a 3.25 GPA in the fall semester, its highest semester GPA in program history.
• 28 of the Eagles were on the honor roll with 12 on the Dean's List and 3 on the President's List.
CLEVELAND ROCKS!
• Ryan Cleveland delivered a 15-game hit streak which ended after the first game of the Texas State series. That streak was the longest for any Eagle batter this season.
• He hit .333 over those 15 games, going 19-for-57 with four home runs, five doubles and nine walks. He drove in 15 runs while stealing four bases.
COMING UP NEXT
This weekend the Eagles will face UL Lafayette in a three-game league series. The Eagles won last year's trip to Cajun Country with victories in the opening two games. The Ragin' Cajuns come to Statesboro for the first time on the diamond with the Eagles looking to snap a three-game skid in league play.
