Giulia Riepe and Lindsay Truscott score points for the Eagles
STATESBORO, Ga.- The Georgia Southern women's tennis team dropped their second match of the weekend, losing on Sunday to UNC Greensboro 2-4. Earlier over the weekend, the team fell 1-6 to Southern Miss.
Because of weather, the teams omitted the doubles competition and jumped right into singles. UNCG started things off at line two, taking the match from Mariana Ranzahuer 6-2, 6-0. The Eagles put up points the next two matches as Giulia Riepe (No.1) won 6-1, 6-3 over Amy Ellis and Lindsay Truscott (No.3) beat Masey DeMoss 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
However, that was the first and last of Eagles scoring. Emilia Bujan, Francisca Norregaard and Mary Phillips Smith fell in the last of three sets at positions four through six.
