STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Baseball has announced a pair of youth baseball camps at J.I. Clements Stadium in Statesboro. The prospect and youth camps will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 and Monday, Jan. 16 to give young players a jump start on the 2017 season.

The Prospect Camp, geared towards 2017-2020 high school graduates, features instruction and a showcase / pro style workout in which high school players can display their talents.

College coaches from D1, D2, NAIA and JUCO along with professional scouts will teach the skills necessary to reach the collegiate playing level. Players will have the opportunity to meet the coaching staff one-on-one and be evaluated by the camp staff. This camp is designed for the player who is serious about taking their game to the next level.

Registration starts at 8:15 a.m. with on-field activities commencing at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14.

The 2017 Winter Youth Camp is open to players in grades K-8 and features quality instruction by the Georgia Southern University Baseball Coaching Staff. Players will have to opportunity expand their baseball skills and benefit from a unique, competitive and challenging atmosphere.

Registration starts at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 16 inside J.I. Clements Stadium.

All campers will need to bring all necessary baseball equipment such as: bat, glove, cleats, tennis shoes, catchers gear (if needed), etc.
