Eagle Cross Country to Run in Inaugural Julius Johnson Invitational

Georgia Southern is part of a seven-team field, hosted by Mercer
STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern cross country runs its second meet of the 2015 season on Friday night at the Julius Johnson Invitational in Macon. The Eagles take the starting gun at 5:45 p.m.

ABOUT THE MEET
The inaugural event is being held in honor of former Mercer track star Julius Johnson. A 1950 graduate of Mercer, Johnson was a four-year member of the Bears' track program, competing in the long jump and the hurdles. He helped lead the program to the 1949 Dixie Conference Championship and was a life-long resident of Macon. Mr. Johnson's daughter, Lee Johnson, will serve as the honorary meet official.
