Mizell Advances to Round Two of Fan Voting

OMAHA, Neb. – Georgia Southern baseball's Aaron Mizell finished fifth in the first round of fan voting for the 2015 TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby Fan's Choice Award.
Mizell advanced to the second round of voting which runs through June 15 at www.FansChoiceAward.com. He led the Eagles with 12 home runs and posted a .292 batting average with 12 doubles, 40 RBI and a .539 slugging percentage in his senior season.
Mizell is one of 10 student-athletes from across all divisions of NCAA baseball to reach the second round of voting. The top four vote getters will advance to the final round that ends on June 22. The winner will be announced that day and will be honored at the TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby in Omaha, Neb. on July 2, which airs live on ESPN.
The annual award recognizes college baseball players for their inspiring accomplishments on and off the baseball field. Finalists must demonstrate leadership, commitment in all aspects of life, stay active in the community and dedicated in the classroom.
