Brown Named to Stopper of the Year Watch List

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Georgia Southern baseball's closer Chris Brown was named to the NCBWA Midseason Stopper of the Year Watch List.
Brown leads the Sun Belt Conference with 9 saves. He has converted 9 of his 12 save chances this year.
Brown is 2-2 with 5.54 ERA in 21 appearances. The junior has struck out 35 batters and walked just 15 in 26.0 innings. Opponents are hitting .228 off of the righthander.
Brown joined the Eagles from Chattahoochee Valley Community College where he played two seasons.
The Eagles are back in action this weekend against ULM. The Sun Belt Conference series opens Friday at 6 p.m.
