Promotions Announced for Softball Series vs. Texas State

Eagles open conference play this weekend
STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Softball opens Sun Belt play this weekend with a three-game series against Texas State which starts on Saturday afternoon. The annual GATA Game is on Saturday as a part of Faculty/Staff Appreciation Weekend. First pitch for the Saturday doubleheader is set for 1 p.m.
Georgia Southern Faculty and Staff can receive half price popcorn by showing their University ID at the concession stand during Saturday's first game. University Faculty and Staff will be recognized during the weekend's games as well.
The annual GATA Game will bring Georgia Southern student-athletes from all sports to Eagle Field for Saturday's game as Eagle athletes support their own.
WEEKEND SCHEDULE
Saturday, March 7th – Texas State at GS – 1 p.m.
Saturday, March 7th – Texas State at GS – 3 p.m.
Sunday, March 8th – Texas State at GS – 1 p.m.
IN GAME PROMOTIONS
WATCH OUT FOR T-SHIRTS - T-Shirts will be thrown into the stands each Georgia Southern home run and each time we strike out the opponent.
SURVIVOR - Six fans, at the end of the first inning, will put their name into a box to win a prize at the beginning of the 7th inning. At the end of each inning, one name will be drawn out of the box until only one "Survivor" is left. This person will win the Georgia Southern prize pack.
LUCKY PROGRAM - The lucky fan who has the Flight Program with a star on it will win a Georgia Southern prize pack
SUNDAY SPECIAL PROMOTION
After the conclusion of the game on Sunday, any kids in attendance can go on the field and run the bases.
