JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – The Georgia Southern Eagles travel to Jacksonville, Florida, this weekend for the Jacksonville Classic, where the Eagles will face a competitive slate of opponents including Presbyterian (11-9), Jacksonville (11-10) and North Florida (19-5).

- Sophomore Kayla Christensen was named the SBC Player of the Week after a standout performance at the Tiger Invitational, where she batted .583 (7-for-12) with five runs scored and four RBI against strong competition. She opened the weekend with a 2-for-3 outing against the No. 25 Clemson Tigers, scoring three runs and launching her first career home run on the third pitch she saw to lead off the game. Christensen followed that performance with a 3-for-4 day against the Wofford Terriers, adding two runs, two doubles, and two RBI to cap the weekend and secure her first career conference weekly honor.
- Freshman Kaylee Croft delivered a key performance in the circle, entering in the third inning and providing stability through the middle frames. She tossed 5.0 innings of relief, allowing six hits and two earned runs while striking out four and issuing three walks. Croft's composed outing kept Georgia Southern within striking distance and ultimately earned her first collegiate victory, setting the stage for the Eagles' dramatic comeback.
