STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern track and field team will compete in their second meet of the 2015 outdoor season at the UNF Spring Break Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Date – Friday and Saturday, March 27 and 28
Location – Jacksonville, Fla./Hodges Stadium
Time – 10 a.m. Friday, 9 a.m. Saturday
Gamecock Quad Meet Recap
• Eagles posted four event wins at the Gamecock Quad Meet two weeks ago.
• Georgia Southern won the 4x100m relay, triple jump, 100m dash and 200m dash.
• Kelsey Arnold posted a career best distance in the shot put (12.14m) and tallied first throw over 12 meters.
• Ashleigh Rasheed with the triple jump with a distance of 11.68m.
• Asha Stegall was a member of the 4x100m relay team that placed first with a time of 47.58 and won the 200m dash (25.31).
Sun Belt Indoor Recap
• Three Eagles finished in the top-10 in day one of the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships.
• Four more Eagles posted top-10 finishes on day two.
• Ashleigh Rasheed had finished fourth in the pentathlon long jump (5.26m) and fifth in the triple jump (12.10m) on day two of the meet.
• Kelsey Arnold posted her third throw of over 17m in the weight throw on day one and finished 9th with a distance of 17.33m.
• Georgia Southern finished 11th in the conference meet.
Arnold Sets Weight Throw Record
• Sophomore Kelsey Arnold topped her own school record in the Weight Throw by nearly a meter and finished first in the event in the Indoor season opener at the Birmingham Southern Icebreaker in December.
• Arnold's third throw of 17.90m broke the previous school record of 16.97m set back in 2014 at the Southern Conference Indoor Championships.
Seniors Ready for Final Season
• The 2014-15 Track and Field season will be the final one for four seniors.
• Stephanne Henzler, Kimberly Thomas, Lauren Toomer and Jasmin Walker will all look to make the 2014-15 campaign a memorable one.
