Track and Field Wins Four Events at Gamecock Quad Meet

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The Georgia Southern track and field team posted four event wins as they completed the Gamecock Quad Meet hosted by Jacksonville State.
The Eagles tallied event wins in the 4x100m relay, triple jump, 100m dash and 200m dash.
Kelsey Arnold also posted a career best in the shot put with her first throw of over 12 meters. Arnold finished 6th with a throw of 12.14m.
The 4x100m relay team Asha Stegall, Jordan Fordham, Camryn Coleman and Chasin Gladdis won the event with a time of 47.58.
Ashleigh Rasheed led the way in the triple jump with a distance of 11.68m, while Jordan Fordham won the 100m dash with a time of 12.21. Asha Stegall won the 200m dash with a time of 25.31.
Camryn Coleman finished third in the long jump (5.29m), while Chase Gladdis posted a third place finish in the 200m dash (25.63).
Kimberly Thomas finished second in the 400m dash and finished under a minute with a time of 58.58.
Karli Koning competed in the 5000m run for the first time in her career and finished fourth with a time of 18:57.67.
The Eagles return to outdoor competition on March 27-28 at the UNF Spring Break Invite.
