
Pair of Outfielders Named Preseason All-Conference

STATESBORO, Ga. – College Sports Madness named Kody Adams and Aaron Mizell Sun Belt Preseason All-Conference.
The pair of outfielders join a core of experience hitters that will lead the Georgia Southern Eagles into their first Sun Belt Conference season. The Eagles return six starters from an offense that a season ago ranked first in the Southern Conference in hits, runs scored, home runs and RBIs.
Aaron Mizell was named a First Team Preseason All-Conference selection after leading the team in home runs (13) and RBI (53). Mizell was one of five Eagles to hit over .300 a year ago and tallied 13 doubles and 76 hits in 61 starts.
Kody Adams was a Second Team Preseason All-Conference selection after hitting .301 with five home runs and 24 RBI. Adams stole 12 bases in 15 attempts and posted a .990 fielding percentage in center field.
Georgia Southern opens the 2015 season Friday at home against the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats. First pitch in the series is set for 4 p.m.
