Georgia Southern caps the fall season where it began - on Kiawah Island, S.C. The Eagles play in the Kiawah Classic by Aramark Nov. 1-3, at Turtple Point Golf Club. Georgia Southern opened the 2015-16 season by winning the Invitational at The Ocean Course in September.
"We are looking forward to being back on Kiawah Island for our final event of the fall," said Georgia Southern coach Carter Collins. "Our first event was held at the Ocean Course on Kiawah, but Turtle Point has much different characteristics so it will take some adjusting on our part. The field is large and strong, and we have been working hard this week to be fully-prepared to do our best and end the fall on a good note."
The Eagles placed second at this event last season, and Scott Wolfes shot a course record 63 (-9) in the final round to earn co-medalist honors.
Georgia Southern is coming off a seventh-place finish at the Camden Collegiate Invitational last weekend. Steven Fisk tied for 10th (+5) as an individual. Archer Price and Jonas Vaisanen each tied for 18th (+7).
All five student-athletes in the lineup this week have played in all four tournaments this fall. Cody O'Toole leads the team in scoring average with 71.75 strokes per round and two top-10 finishes, and Steven Fisk averages 72.50 strokes a round and has placed in the top-10 three times. Archer Price has placed in the top-20 in the last two tournaments and owns a 73.83 scoring average, and Jake Storey owns a pair of top-20 outings. Vaisanen has been in the lineup twice this fall and owns a 74.16 scoring average.
The Eagles will be paired with Duke and Augusta and tee off hole 10 at 9:45 a.m.
