Softball Ranks Among Nation’s Top Programs Academically

Eagles rank first in Sun Belt with 3.43 team GPA

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Georgia Southern Softball recently ranked among the nation's top team's academically in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's All-Academic Teams list. The Eagles finished 2013-14 with a 3.43 team GPA to rank 28th nationally and first among Sun Belt Conference members.

Individually, 11 Eagles finished the year earning All-America Scholar-Athlete honors. These Eagles were among 1,105 Division I student-athletes to post a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Breigh Findlay, Brooke Red, Marla Thompson, Savanah Coon, Nicole Benton, Lindsey Wilcox, Morgan Robinson, Kaitlyn Johnson, Emily Snider, Gabrielle Story and Shelby Morrill were the Eagle honorees.
