
Scott Fletcher to Join Klesko at Baseball Banquet

STATESBORO, Ga. - Former Georgia Southern baseball All-American and Hall of Fame inductee Scott Fletcher will join Ryan Klesko at Saturday's Evening with the All-Stars banquet.
Fletcher was a 1979 Sporting News All-America choice at shortstop after hitting .413 and stealing 30 bases in 61 games as a junior. Fletcher was signed by the Chicago Cubs in the 1979 amateur draft and went on to play 15 seasons in the major leagues. He played for seven different major league clubs and spent six years with the Chicago White Sox.
After retiring from baseball, Fletcher began a coaching career as manager of the Charleston RiverDogs in 1997. He spent time as a coach at Emory, Colorado Rockies and the Atlanta Braves. Fletcher currently serves as the assistant hitting coach with the Braves.
Tickets for the banquet are on sale through the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation and can be ordered by calling 912-478-5520. Tickets cost $75 for adults and $50 for children 17 and under.
