Baseball Opens Practice this Weekend with Two Scrimmages

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern baseball team starts preparation for the upcoming season in earnest this weekend with a pair of scrimmages.

The Eagles will compete in a pair of intersquad scrimmages Saturday at 3:15 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.

Georgia Southern will also hold scrimmages on Jan. 31, Feb. 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9 as they continue to prepare for the upcoming baseball season.

The Eagles open the 2014 season at Georgia on Feb. 14 and will play their first home game against Georgia Tech on Feb. 19.

Season tickets for the 2014 season are on sale now through the Georgia Southern Athletic Ticket Office and can be purchased by calling 1-800-GSU-WINS or by visiting gseagles.com.
