- Georgia Southern faces Wofford for the 46th time in series history and the final time in Statesboro as SoCon opponents.
- Jelani Hewitt enters the Wofford as the No. 1 ranked scorer in the Southern Conference with 20.7 ppg and ranks 19th in scoring nationwide ... He scored 38 points earlier this season against Campbell and has twice been named SoCon Player of the Week ... He has scored in double figures 18 of 19 games this season and has gone over 20 points in scoring for 11 of the 19 games this year ... He needs just 2 points for 1,000 in his career.
- Hewitt was also named SoCon Player of the Month for November 2013, averaging 24.5 ppg in the opening month of the season.

For the first time in the last two seasons, Georgia Southern will have a home game on television. Thursday's game can be seen locally on WSAV-DT2 on their WSAV Basketball Blitz series. WSAV's Ken Slats will call the game while Seth Harp will provide analysis.

Georgia Southern travels to Davidson for the second-straight Saturday in the Tar Heel State. The Eagles will end up spending four-straight Saturdays in North Carolina with separate trips to UNCG and Elon set for the upcoming weeks.
