Baseball Set to Hold Four Summer Camps

STATESBORO, Ga. - For those looking to work on their baseball skills this summer, the Georgia Southern baseball team has the camp for you. The Eagles are hosting four summer camps, and the camps combine to cover from age 5 to a rising high school senior.
The camps get underway on June 17th with the first Youth Camp. The Eagles will also hold an Overnight Camp and a second Youth Camp in July before holding the Prospect Camp in August.
The two Youth Camps are intended for players age 5-12 and run over a four-day period. The camps start at 9 a.m. and run to noon. The cost for the Youth Camp is $130. The dates for the first Youth Camp are June 17-20th, and the second Youth Camp runs from July 15-18th.
The Overnight camp will instruct participants in hitting, defense, pitching/catching, baserunning, and strategy. Campers will also participate in live and controlled scrimmaging. The Overnight Camp runs from July 7-10th and is intended for rising 6th-9th graders.
The final GSU baseball camp of the summer, the Prospect Camp, will be held on August 17th. This one-day camp features instruction and a showcase/pro-style workout. The instructors will teach the skills necessary to reach the collegiate playing level. This camp is designed for the player who is serious about taking their game to the next level.
The coaching staff at Georgia Southern prides itself on teaching the game of baseball to players of all ages and ability levels. All camps are taught by the Eagle coaching staff and players.
