STORY LINES
Georgia Southern (23-20, 12-12 SoCon) will face North Florida (32-12, 14-4 A-Sun) Tuesday and will host Charleston Southern (17-24, 7-8 Big South) on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Both games are set for 6 p.m.
All three games can be heard on the Georgia Southern Radio Network and will be streamed online for free at gseagles.com/watch-listen.
It will be Manager Appreciation Day on Wednesday. The Eagles will honor their team managers for all of their hard work during the athletic year.
GSU will be at home this weekend as well and will host Furman in a three-game series. The SoCon series will be the final home weekend series for the Eagles. Saturday’s game time has been moved from its normal 2:30 p.m. start time and will get underway at 10:30 a.m. It will be breakfast and baseball at J.I. Clements Stadium and the concession stand will be serving breakfast-type food during the game.
The Eagles snapped an eight-game losing streak on Friday and went on to win their first weekend series since March 22-24 against Davidson.
Their last win before the start of the losing streak came at Charleston Southern on April 9th.
GSU will face North Florida for the first time this season and the Ospreys will return the trip to Statesboro on May 14th.
The North Florida series is tied 7-7 while the Eagles hold a 46-4 series edge against Charleston Southern.
Robbie Dodds leads the offense in SoCon play with a .363 batting average and nine doubles. Justin Hess is 4-2 with three saves and a 2.66 ERA in 12 SoCon games this season.
The trio of T.D. Davis, Chase Griffin and Ben Morgan have combined for 18 of the team’s 25 home runs.
T.D. Davis has 10 home runs on the season while the rest of the team has hit just 15. A year ago Davis hit just five home runs.
Chase Griffin has started all 43 games behind the plate for the Eagles this season. In his two-year career, Griffin has started 91 times as the team’s catcher. He and first baseman T.D. Davis are the only two Eagles to start every game this season at the same position.

All Georgia Southern home games will be video streamed on gseagles.com/watch-listen for free. The stream will carry the Georgia Southern Radio Network’s feed with long-time play-by-play voice Ryan Chambers and color commentator Kris Draper on the call.

QUICK HITS
Georgia Southern, who has fallen below .500 only twice this season, sit just three games above .500 after the eight game losing streak.
Three Eagles are hitting .400 or better in their last five games. Zac Lenns leads the team during that period with a .429 batting average. Robbie Dodds and Chase Griffin are both hitting .400.
Chase Griffin is averaging nearly an RBI a game (.98) and leads the team in that category with 42.
Georgia Southern is 16-0 this season when recording as many or more hits than their opponent. The Eagles are 12-0 when out-hitting the opponent.
Georgia Southern is 18-3 when scoring six or more runs and is 18-5 when allowing five runs or less.
The Eagles are 20-2 when leading after the fourth inning and 18-1 when leading after six frames.
Chase Griffin and T.D. Davis are the only Eagles with 10 or more multi-hit games and 10 or more multi-RBI games.
Georgia Southern ranks 41st in total attendance (35,444) and ranks 45th in average attendance (1,445) in the nation.
In his 16th season at the helm of a Southern Conference program, head coach Rodney Hennon is the second winningest active coach in the SoCon.
