STORY LINES
Georgia Southern (21-16, 10-8 SoCon) heads north for a three-game weekend series against Western Carolina (23-16, 12-6 SoCon). The series opens with a 5 p.m. first pitch on Friday and continues on Saturday with a 4 p.m. game and a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday.
All three games can be heard on the Georgia Southern Radio Network and will be streamed online for free at gseagles.com/watch-listen.
The Eagles will send a rotation of Justin Hess, Jason Richman and TBA to the mound. Western Carolina will counter with Jeremy Null, Morgan McKinney and Jordan Smith.
Georgia Southern is looking to snap its current five-game losing streak. The Eagles last win came on April 9th at Charleston Southern.
GSU is hitting just .164 with four extra-base hits during its current losing streak. The Eagles have tallied just 27 hits and scored eight runs in their last five games.

MID-WEEK RECAP
Georgia Southern dropped a pair of mid-week games against Mercer and Kennesaw State.
Josh Stevenson and the bullpen combined to allow just one run over the final seven innings against the Bears.
Evan Challenger allowed just two runs over 4.2 innings against Kennesaw State in his first start since March 19th against Georgia Tech.
Stryker Brown and Robbie Dodds both homered in the game, the first multi-homer game for the Eagles since March 24th against Davidson.
