Eagle Men’s Basketball Hosts Senior Day Blue Out on Saturday Night

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern’s final home game of the 2012-13 starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday night from historic Hanner Fieldhouse. Seniors Cameron Baskerville and C.J. Reed will be honored in a pregame ceremony before the game against the Furman Paladins. Fans are encouraged to wear blue for the contest.
Georgia Southern (11-17, 5-10 SoCon) fell on Thursday night to Wofford in the penultimate home game of the 20112-13 season, 53-47. Eric Ferguson had 11 points for the Eagles on Thursday night.
On Saturday afternoon there will be a free Student Eagle Club tailgate in the parking lot between Hanner Fieldhouse and J.I. Clements Stadium starting at 5:30 p.m. It is also Family Weekend on campus.
Furman (6-20, 3-12 SoCon) enters Saturday’s game on a seven-game skid which includes a 73-36 loss to Davidson on Wednesday night. The Paladins have been hit hard by injuries this season with just eight healthy players available for Saturday’s game.
The Eagles are on the road for the final two regular season games next week. Georgia Southern faces UNCG on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. before visiting Davidson on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
