The Coach
Mark Byington begins his tenure at Georgia Southern tonight and looks to improve on his 7-4 career record as a head coach. The former top-assistant at College of Charleston, Byington was picked to succeed legendary coach Bobby Cremins for the final 11 games of the 2011-12 season after Cremins took a leave of absence. Byington went 7-4 in those games. That tenure featured a pair of three-game win streaks and a victory over Kent State in the ESPN Bracketbusters matchup with the Golden Flashes.

The Weather
It is expected to be a crisp fall day with a high of 66 on tap. Fans should bring their jackets with evening temperatures expected to fall to the low 40's.

Up Next
Following Friday's game the Eagles will have a quick turnaround for Monday's trip to face the defending ACC Champion Miami Hurricanes. Tipoff at the BankUnited Center is set for 7 p.m. The game can be seen live on ESPN3 and heard live across the Georgia Southern Radio Network by Nelligan Sports and online at GSEagles.com.
