¦ Georgia Southern is at the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament for two games.
¦ After falling 82-58 to host Florida Atlantic yesterday, the Eagles will take on Detroit Saturday at 12:30 p.m. It's the first time the Eagles and Titans have played in women's basketball.
¦ The game is part of a four-game road trip for Georgia Southern, its longest of the year. Three of the four have been played in the state of Florida.
¦ The Eagles have lost three in a row.
¦ Junior Anna Claire Knight leads GSU in scoring at 14.4 points a game.
¦ Newcomer Briana Jones is averaging 8.4 points and 10 rebounds, while senior Danielle Spencer leads the team in rebounding with 10.2 boards a contest.
¦ MiMi DuBose (146) enters the game third in all-time 3-pointers at Georgia Southern, 21 away from first, held by Svetlana Trjeskal (1995-99). The senior is 84 points away from 1,000 for her career. DuBose is 12 games played away from 100 for her career.
¦ Detroit entered the weekend with a 1-5 record and coming off an 80-74 home loss to Ball State.
¦ Senee Shearer leads the team in scoring with an 18.5 points a game average, and Ellisha Crosby averages 15 points and 7.8 rebounds. Tayelor McCalister averages 11.8 points.
¦ The Titans were picked sixth in the nine-team Horizon League in the league's Preseason Poll.

¦ Danielle Spencer has two double-doubles this season. The senior had 12 points and 12 rebounds against Jacksonville State (11/16) and 12 points and 17 rebounds at Jacksonville (11/24).
¦ Spencer needs 26 rebounds to reach 400 for her career and is eight games played away from 100.
¦ The Eagles improved to 29-9 in home openers with their 63-50 win over Jacksonville State Nov. 16.
