STATESBORO, Ga.- Eagle diver Amanda Macchio has been awarded CCSA Diver of the Week honors for the week of November 4th-10th.

In the meet against College of Charleston and East Carolina on November 9th, Macchio placed first in the 3-meter diving event, with a high score of 270.25. This marks her personal best, trumping her previous high score by over 30 points. Macchio finished the 1-meter event with 238.47 points.

"Amanda had a great meet over the weekend while getting her first career win on the 3m springboard," said Coach David Giambra. "In winning the event, she improved her personal best from the 230's to record a score of 270.25. Amanda has increased her level of difficulty this year, which gave her the opportunity to make the huge jump in her score. Amanda consistently gives everything she has at practice and this win is the result of that effort."

The divers compete in the Nike Dowd Cup on November 21-23 in Chapel Hill, NC.
