Well Named ASun Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Five More Named to Academic All ASun

Jacksonville, Fla. --- Georgia Southern dive senior Karlee Wells was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning (March 17th). Five other swim & dive Eagles were named to the Academic All-Conference list as well.
Wells finished with a 4.0 cumulative GPA in Biology and was just as successful on the boards. Recently named the Most Outstanding Female Diver at the 2026 ASun Conference Meet, she also became the first Eagles to qualify for an NCAA Zones final in program history.
The six Eagles to be named to the ASun Academic All-Conference list are:
Karlee Wells - 4.0 GPA - Biology
Sterling Burd - 4.0 GPA - Interdisciplinary Studies
McKinlee Taulbee - 3.96 GPA - Human Development & Family Science
Avery Sargeant - 3.93 GPA - Accounting
Abby Ounsworth - 3.91 GPA - Psychology
Ieva Evaltaite - 3.91 GPA - Physics
