Phillips Selected to ABCA All-Atlantic Team

STATESBORO, Ga. - Eric Phillips may have already started his professional career, but the awards for his collegiate career continue to roll in.
Phillips, a senior on the 2012 Georgia Southern Baseball team, was selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association's (ABCA) All-Atlantic Region Second Team after hitting .391 with 24 doubles and 54 RBI.
The four-year starter, left his mark on the Eagles' all-time record book. The Carrollton, Ga., ranks first in career hits and doubles in GSU history, second in career at-bats, fifth in career games played and total bases, sixth in career runs, eighth in career stolen bases and ninth in career RBI.
Phillips is currently playing in the Toronto Blue Jays' farm system and is a current member of the Vancouver Canadians, a Class A Short-Season team in the Northwest League.
