Griffin Earns Fourth All-America Honor

STATESBORO, Ga. - Chase Griffin (Leesburg, Ga.) was named a First Team Freshman All-American catcher, as announced by Perfect Game.
This is the fourth such honor for Griffin after he hit.320 with 10 doubles and 10 home runs in 2012.
The freshman catcher got off to a slow start and was hitting just .152 with one long ball in the first 17 games before breaking out for three hits and four RBI on March 17th against UNCG. Griffin went on to hit a team-best .413 with nine home runs and 24 RBI over the next 21 games.
Griffin previously received this honor from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball.
