Little Eagles Baseball Camp Set for Saturday

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern Baseball team will be involved in a number of events in the final preseason weekend before opening the season against UT Martin on February 17th. The Eagles will host three preseason scrimmages, the Little Eagles Baseball Camp and preseason radio show at Locos Bar & Grill.
Little Eagles Baseball Camp
The annual Little Eagles Baseball Camp and Meet the Eagles autograph signing event takes place on Saturday, February 11th. The camp starts at 9 a.m. with registration for all youth ages 4-14 and will run from 10 to 11 a.m. Following the camp the team will sign the 2012 season poster. The event takes place at J.I. Clements Stadium and is free and open to the public.
Preseason Scrimmages
Preseason practice has started and the Georgia Southern Baseball team will hold three weekend scrimmages to get prepared for their 2011 Southern Conference Tournament Title defense. Scrimmage dates and times are as follows:
Feb. 10 - 6 p.m.
Feb. 11 - Following Little Eagles Baseball Camp at around 2:30 p.m.
Feb. 12 - 2:30 p.m.
Preseason Radio Show
For those out of town this weekend or unable to make it to one of the scrimmages, Ryan Chambers will host a preseason baseball show live from Locos Grill & Pub in Statesboro on February 12th at 7 p.m. Ryan will be joined on the air and in person by Head Coach Rodney Hennon and the 2012 Georgia Southern Eagles.
Season Tickets Still on Sale
Season tickets for the 2012 baseball season are still on sale and are just $70 for a full slate of games and $100 for a reserved seat. 10 and 25 game flex books are also available for those who can not make every home contest.
