Mark Your Calendars for Upcoming Preseason Baseball Events

STATESBORO, Ga. - A number of preseason baseball events are slated for the coming days and weeks for fans and include Little Eagles Baseball Camp, preseason radio show and Bulloch County Eagle Club Kickoff Dinner. Season tickets also remain on sale through the Georgia Southern Athletic Ticket Office by calling 1-800-GSU-WINS.
Evening with the All-Stars
The Second Annual Evening with the All-Stars is set for February 2nd at 7 p.m. in the Nessmith-Lane Building. John Smoltz headlines the event which will include a number of silent auction prizes and live auction items. Youth are especially invited to the event and will receive an autographed baseball from all three speakers. Tickets are still on sale and can be purchased by call the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation at 912-478-5520.
Preseason Scrimmages
Preseason practice has started and the Georgia Southern Baseball team will hold a number of weekend scrimmages to get prepared for their 2011 Southern Conference Tournament Title defense. Scrimmage dates and times are as follows:
Feb. 10 - 6 p.m.
Feb. 11 - Following Little Eagles Baseball Camp at 2:30 p.m.
Feb. 12 - 2:30 p.m.
Little Eagles Baseball Camp
The annual Little Eagles Baseball Camp and Meet the Eagles autograph signing event takes place on February 11th. The camp starts at 9 a.m. with registration for all youth ages 4-14 and the autograph signing will take place following the camp at 11 a.m. The event takes place at J.I. Clements Stadium and is free and open to the public.
Preseason Radio Show
For those of you out of town or unable to make it to one of the scrimmages, Ryan Chambers will host a preseason baseball show live from Locos Grill & Pub in Statesboro on February 12th at 7 p.m. Ryan will be joined in person by Head Coach Rodney Hennon and the 2012 Georgia Southern Eagles.
Bulloch County Eagle Club Dinner
The day before the season opener against UT Martin on February 16th, come here from Head Coach Rodney Hennon at the Bulloch County Eagle Club on February 15th. The baseball kickoff dinner at the Bishop Fieldhouse is open to the public and will feature a $15 buffet dinner from RJ's Steakery.
Season Tickets Still on Sale
Season tickets for the 2012 baseball season are still on sale and are just $70 for a full slate of games and $100 for a reserved seat. 10 and 25 game flex books are also available for those who can not make every home contest.
