Baseball Posts Fourth-Straight Season of Top-40 Attendance

WICHITA, Kan. - Georgia Southern Baseball ranked in the top-40 of national baseball attendance for 2011 season as announced in the final Division I Baseball Attendance report compiled by Wichita State. This season was the fourth-straight year in which the Eagles posted a top-40 ranking in attendance.
The Eagles' 2011 average attendance of 1,631 fans ranked 36th, the highest position in the last five years. Georgia Southern finished ahead of North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Troy in average attendance.
GSU had nearly 50,000 fans come through the turnstiles at J.I. Clements Stadium this season and ranked 38th among Division I programs. The 48,932 total fans in 2011 was the second-highest total in the last five seasons.
